Thoughts on composting

When I am peeling, chopping or just cleaning out the fridge I always think of treats our animals or our compost pile can use. The animals love our slightly floppy celery, leftover beans, greens from radish/carrot/beets etc and our earthworms can handle those plus coffee grounds, eggshells, banana peels and such. I love my compost bin which sits outside the kitchen and we have a large pile at the farm (where the animals live also)

Compost enriches and regenerates soil in our valley sucking up carbon from the air and saving lots of smelly garbage trips. Thanks for helping us by asking for compost buckets and saving your vegetable waste from going in the trash.
